3 Companies Elon Musk is Behind

Elon Musk is well known as the CEO of big-name companies like SpaceX and Tesla, and even has plans to colonize the planet Mars. Musk also believes that humans will one day be pets due to AI and has a huge Twitter presence. It’s no secret that Musk’s companies have a huge hand in nearly every industry. Here is some additional information about some of the companies Elon Musk is behind.

SpaceX

SpaceX builds and designs reusable spacecraft. The company is based in Hawthorne, California and is vertically integrated, which means workers build most of the vehicle parts on site. SpaceX is one of the only facilities where an entire spacecraft is constructed in one place. The company gained popularity after the success of the Falcon Heavy and Falcon 9. SpaceX is currently working on the next generation of reusable vehicles that will be powerful enough to transport humans to Mars and other planets.

Boring Company

The Boring Company consists of three product lines that each include one more 12-foot inner diamter tunnels, planning documentation, project engineering and environmental permitting and review. The Boring Company works with companies, cities, and states to make tunnel technology useful and efficient. According to the experts at Money Morning, “Musk is working to develop the new Hyperloop system of transportation, which could slash travel times between major cities. The Hyperloop concept relies on a frictionless vacuum tube as a track for pods to speed through.” This is why many investors are interested in Boring company stock.

The organization is known for the loop transportation system which is made of two tunnels and is ideal for exit shafts and internal systems. Boring Company also offers the conduit tunnel that provides access to several utilities without surface interruption. The conduit tunnel also includes a water tunnel and internal systems.

Tesla

Tesla was founded in 2003. The company’s mission is to aid the world in transitioning to sustainable energy as quickly as possible. The Roadster sports car was the first product from Tesla and was released in 2008. Next came the Model S sedan in 2012 — three years later the Model X SUV was introduced. Tesla’s Model S was Consumer Reports’ Best Overall Car and Motor Trend named the vehicle the Ultimate Car of the Year. The Model X earned the distinction of being the first SUV to earn a 5-star safety rating in all National Highway Traffic Safety Administration tests.

Tesla began delivering the Model 3 to customers I 2017. The Model 3 is an electronically powered car that can travel more than 320 miles before it needs to be recharged. 2017 was also the year Tesla unveiled the Semi, which is specifically designed to save $200,000 over a million miles based on fuel costs. The Tesla Cybertruck was revealed in 2019 and has the performance of a sports car with better utility than conventional trucks. The Model Y compact SUV hit the market in 2020 and Tesla made deliveries to customers who pre-ordered these vehicles.

Even though Musk has faced some challenges with some of his investments, it’s clear that he has the business acumen to connect his name to successful companies. Due to the financial success and popularity of these companies, Elon Musk will likely be a fixture in the business and financial industries for quite some time.
